Local Library

The Local Library stores your 3D designs on your computer. You can organize designs into folders, search for files, and quickly add them to your workspace.

Browsing the Library

  1. Open the Library panel from the sidebar or Library tab
  2. Navigate through folders to find your designs
  3. Double-click a design to open it, or drag it into your workspace to add it to the current scene

Organizing Your Files

  • Create folders - Right-click in the library and choose Create Folder to organize your designs
  • Rename items - Right-click on any item and choose Rename
  • Delete items - Right-click and choose Delete to remove items
  • Move items - Drag items between folders to reorganize

View Options

The library panel supports multiple view modes:

  • List view - Compact list showing file names
  • Icon view - Thumbnail previews of your designs
  • Large icon view - Larger thumbnails for easier browsing

You can sort items by:

  • Name - Alphabetical order
  • Date Created - Newest or oldest first
  • Date Modified - Most recently changed first

Tips

  • Use the search bar at the top of the library to quickly find designs by name
  • The library browser shows a preview thumbnail for most file types
  • Designs saved in MCX format preserve all parameters and the design tree for full re-editing
