Path Operations
Path operations work with 2D paths to create and modify 3D shapes. Use these to extrude, revolve, and refine path-based geometry.
The Path group is hidden on the toolbar until you turn it on. Click Tools at the right end of the toolbar, find Path in the list, and set it to Expand or Collapse. Every path operation is also available in the right-click Modify menu of a selected object, whether the group is showing or not.
Operations
- Linear Extrude - Give a 2D path height to create a 3D object
- Revolve - Spin a 2D path around an axis to create a solid of revolution
- Sweep - Carry a 2D profile along a 3D curve
- Loft - Blend a solid between stacked 2D sections
- 3D Curve - Draw the curve a Sweep follows
- Smooth Path - Smooth the curves of a path
- Inflate Path - Expand a path outward
- Outline Path - Create an outline from a filled path
- Border Path - Add a border offset around a path
- Select Paths - Select specific paths from complex multi-path objects
